In addition to the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF, ARRI will also present new PCA equipment at NAB 2019. The Bottom Dovetails series with its four variants (150, 300, 450 and 600 mm) will be replaced by new lighter but no less stable Bottom Dovetail Plates made of aluminium alloy.

New ARRI Bottom Dovetails
The ARRI Dovetails feature two release buttons at each end for easy insertion of the camera from both ends - or now also from above at any point via the new Bridge Plate SBP-1 (see below). In addition, there are two tapped holes on each side for even more safety when needed. The additional stopper screws are safely kept out of the way and ready when not in use in a "parking position". Each Dovetails Plate has several 1⁄4-20" and 3/8-16" holes and can be used natively on O'Connor 2575, O'Connor 120EX, and Sachtler Cine 30 fluid heads.
The short 150 mm Dovetails Plate is particularly suitable for camera carts, car mounts, etc. where further taring of the camera is not necessary. The 300mm plate is mainly available for camera setups with fixed focal lengths and the 450 and 600mm dovetails are intended for medium to large camera zoom configurations.

New ARRI Studio Bridge Plates SBP-1 for 15 and 19mm
ARRI has also introduced new Studio Bridge Plate SBP-1 for 15mm and 19mm setups to match the new dovetails. New with the SBP-1 is that the Bridge Plate can now be placed on the Dove Plate from above at any point. The bridge plate is fixed by a lateral lever and an additional safety lever protects against unintentional opening. Via 3/8-16" Interface incl. Arri Lockpins additional equipment can be attached to the right side of the Birdge Plate. The fixing screws at the bottom of the ARRI Bridge Plate can be operated with four different tools (HEX 4, HEX 5, HEX 5/32" and flat head screwdriver).
The new ARRI Bottom Dovetails and the Studio Bridge Plate SBP-1 will be delivered at the end of May 2019.
