For more light when taking quick shots with (mainly) the iPhone, Amaran is launching a super-compact LED light. The Amaran Go is simply attached to the Magsafe port - but not supplied with power from there - but is also compatible with the (not very common) Android counterpart Qi2.
Thanks to a folding design, the small light brightens up close subjects when using both the main camera and the selfie camera. The Amaran Go offers a maximum of 200 lumens and a CRI of 97+. According to the manufacturer, the lighting can be fine-tuned with 10 customizable light modes and 10 brightness settings.
At 100% output, one battery charge should last for approx. 80 minutes. The people are charged via USB-C, this takes 70 minutes.
Who the light is primarily aimed at is revealed by a special feature in the form of an integrated make-up mirror, which is also supplied with some light. So you can quickly check that your hairstyle is in place before taking selfie clips on the move.
The Amaran Go weighs 85g and is now available for 35 euros in various colors, for example at Amazon.
