Anton Bauer has introduced its new multi-voltage battery VCLX LI 1600 with a very high capacity of 1600Wh, targeting film productions that aim to maximize device runtime on set to reduce the need for additional batteries and battery changes. The new weatherproof battery, certified to IP65 standard, has more than twice the capacity of last year&s VCLX NM2 battery with 600 Wh, which was released last year - but at a weight of only 11.56 kg, it is significantly lighter. ;)
Bauer VCLX LI 1600 Battery The VCLX LI 1600 battery offers a multi-voltage output (14.4 V, 28 V, and 48 V) via two XLR4 outputs and one XLR3 output to power high-demand equipment such as cameras, monitors, and lights during a shoot. For example, one charge of the VCLX LI 1600 is sufficient for 11.8 hours of operation of an ARRI ALEXA 35 or 5.3 hours with a fully rigged ARRI ALEXA 35 with a power requirement of approximately 300 watts at 28V DC. The robust housing is made of anodized aluminum and features passive cooling, meaning the battery is completely silent. The integrated 2.4" LED screen shows the remaining runtime under load to the minute as well as the time until full charge, provides system and error information, and displays the power consumption of all devices connected to the XLR3, XLR4, or USB interfaces. ;) Bauer VCLX LI 1600 Battery The Anton Bauer multi-voltage battery VCLX LI 1600Wh was developed without an internal charger to minimize heat generation. This extends the lifespan of the battery cells and avoids noisy fans for quiet operation. The external charger reduces the risk of device failure due to component malfunction.
