Once again, quite surprisingly, Apple has made available today on its support pages without much comment a file called "Apple ProRes RAW for Windows 1.0 (Beta)". Unfortunately there is no other (yet??) very informative information about the Windows 10 Installer for 64 bit versions.
On the support page Apple writes:
This software enables playback of ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ video files in compatible applications on Windows systems.
Compatible Applications
Adobe After Effects (beta)
Adobe Media Encocder (beta)
Adobe Premiere (Beta)
Adobe Premiere Rush (beta)
The installer itself seems a bit fallen out of time. It's obviously a long time since Apple put together a software package for Windows:
After installation, only two DLLs (PRRawDebayer.dll and PRRawDecoder.dll) are located in the specified target directory. It seems that the system does not register them automatically. Therefore we copied the DLLs additionally and threw them into the Premiere Pro 2020 root directory. But so far without success.
We haven't been able to open ProRes RAW files from the Nikon Z6 and the Atomos Ninja Recoder in one of the Adobe applications mentioned above. But maybe you still need an update from Adobe for this, which might show up in the next days in the time frame of a felt NAB 2020...
