Aputure had already introduced the Light Storm 300x Bi-Color LED light at the IBC 2020, now it is being delivered. It is a very powerful bi-colour LED light with Bowens mount and a luminosity of up to 56.000 lux (at 1m distance with Fresnel 2X). It has a colour temperature range of 2700K to 6500K and can therefore emulate light that is both warmer than tungsten and cooler than daylight without the need for additional filters. In addition, the LS 300X has both a CRI and TLCI color rendering index value of 96+ and features an optical color mixing element that generates a single source from its two-color chipset. Other features include 5 common CCT presets, two output modes, a 360° adjustable locking bracket, an individually adjustable colour temperature in 50K steps and built-in lighting effects (paparazzi, fireworks, light bulb, flash, TV, pulse (breathing), stroboscope and explosion). The control box of the unit is passively cooled, which allows a quiet operation on the set. ;) Aputure Light Storm 300x Bi-Color The Aputure Light Storm 300x Bi-Color can be used with various light modifiers, such as a Fresnel 2X or a reflector, using the integrated Bowens S-Mount. It has four dimming modes (Linear, Exponential, Logarithmic and S-curve) and is controllable via DMX512, the controls on the controller, the Aputure 2.4G remote control and Aputure&s Bluetooth Mesh Sidus Link app. ;) Apertus Mesh Sidus App With this, up to 100 lights from Aputure such as the 300x, 300d II or MC can be remotely controlled via tablet or app and luminance, CCT, effects and the light source can be adjusted. Furthermore, a dedicated preset button for switching between 2700 K, 3200 K 4300 K, 5500 K and 6500 K. The Aputure LS 300x Bi-Color costs around 1,300 euros and comes in two versions - one with a gold mount and one with V-mount batteries. These are attached to the fanless all-in-one control unit and power supply which supplies the light with power via 6 m Neutrik PowerCON cable. Each unit comes with a LS C300DII transport case and a 55° reflector.
