Asus has introduced a foldable Windows tablet - similar to the foldable smartphones. In terms of performance and features, the new Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is more like a notebook - which it can easily be transformed into via the 5.5 mm thin ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard or the virtual on-screen keyboard. Up to two external 4K monitors can be connected via the Thunderbolt ports. The Asus Zenbook 17 Fold with its maximum size of 17.3" is also virtually without competition as an oversized Windows tablet - as a foldable tablet, only the 13.3"  Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is available as a (smaller9 alternative so far. ;) Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED When folded, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is 12.5" (a bit smaller than DIN A4) and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,280 pixels - when unfolded, it is 17.3" with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,920 pixels. It can be used quite differently in several modes: as a slightly folded notebook with on-screen keyboard, as a laptop with the ErgoSense keyboard on part of the display or as a PC with full display and extra keyboard, as a tablet or folded vertically as an (e-)book reader. The quality of its touchscreen is outstanding due to the use of an OLED panel with 10-bit color depth: thus, it covers the DCI-P3 color space by 100% and the sRGB by 133%, can display true black - thanks to OLED - is up to 500 nits bright, has a contrast of 1,000,000:1 and supports the display of HDR via the Dolby Vision standard. The display&s brightness and color temperature are adjusted to the environment via light sensor. A 5 QHD megapixel webcam with an integrated microphone is also integrated for video conferencing, as well as a special AI algorithm for intelligent noise cancelling during voice recordings, which can filter out various distracting background noises if desired. ;) Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED According to rumors, the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold will only be officially released at the Computex 2022 trade show in Taiwan at the end of May - then the price will also be announced.
