ATOMOSphere is designed as an optimized single sign-on Atomos member environment where users can register their devices, manage cloud storage, upload and share media, and collaborate with clients.
Atomos ATOMOSphere – Specialized Cloud Solution for Video and Photo Projects
All registered members receive a free ATOMOSphere Starter Plan with 20 GB of cloud storage. Customers with a cloud-based Ninja or Shogun monitor-recorder can upload videos directly during recording by pairing their devices with their ATOMOSphere account. Once connected, the material can be immediately shared with other ATOMOSphere members or new collaborators can be invited for review and commenting.
The directly supported video formats include Apple ProRes, Avid DNx, HEVC (H.265) and H.264, as well as common still image formats – including RAW files compatible with camera brands such as Canon, Fujifilm, Sony, Nikon, Olympus/OM System, Panasonic and others. This is relevant in that the files can not only be managed and viewed in any browser, but can even be edited directly in the browser with a dedicated cloud editing solution (via AtomosEdit/Axle.ai).
It is not mandatory to have special hardware to use these services. Everything recorded to an SSD or memory card with a camera or recorder can be easily read on a computer and then uploaded directly to ATOMOSphere – regardless of file type, format or camera brand. This also applies to still images or other project files, such as PDFs. Once uploaded, all content can be archived, shared, or reviewed.
Paid storage plans start at USD per month (for 500 GB) and currently go up to 50 TB for USD per month. Those who purchase an annual plan not only benefit from slightly cheaper storage plans, but also receive a five percent discount on all purchases in the Atomos Online Store in the USA, the European Union and Australia.

Although ATOMOSphere is closely "connected" to Atomos Cloud devices, it still enables open collaboration with other cloud solutions such as Frame.io, Dropbox, MediaSilo, Sony Ci Media and others. Creatives can therefore use ATOMOSphere as a meta-cloud, as a central hub or simply as a fast cloud intermediate layer (like a cache) and thus have full control over the file movements in their production pipeline.
