Atomos has halved the (net) price of its Ninja Phone, which turns an iPhone 15/16 Pro/Max into an HDMI camera monitor/recorder, and is now offering a 10% discount on its 1,500-nit bright 5" mobile HDMI monitor Shinobi II. The price reduction of the Ninja Phone appears to be permanent, while the Shinobi II discount is only valid until the end of February 2025. Atomos Ninja PhoneThe Ninja Phone consists of a case for connecting to the smartphone and a 10-bit video co-processor, which transforms the iPhone 15/16 Pro or Pro Max into a virtually latency-free OLED preview monitor for HDMI cameras. The iPhone&s high-resolution Super Retina XDR display, with its 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG support, 11 stops of dynamic range, and 1600 nits peak brightness, surpasses the display quality of conventional camera monitors.
