Atomos SUMO - 19 inch 4K recorder / HDR monitor with live switcher // NAB2017

Atomos has just introduced a massive surprise at the NAB 2017. The SUMO baptized 4K60p recorder technically in many areas its smaller 7 inch Inferno Bruedern, comes however with a gigantic 19 inch display therefore. This soles only with 1920 x 1080 pixels, but with a maximum brightness of 1200 Nits is synonymous 10 bit / HDR-capable. After quite a few users finally wanted a portable 5-inch recorder for recording, Atomos now hits the exact opposite way and presents a much larger device. We could imagine that the market for such a device actually exists, had however had a natural 4K HDR display installed. This would probably have the price even further into the heightPress But for a real 1200 NI HDR-4K pre-monitor maybe some potential buyers had left a few hundred euros draufgelegt. But who knows, a lot of light does not print the shoe at the AtomosOS, which would then run under a 4K surface, which had not yet been the case with any Atomos recorder. The shock-proof housing made of aluminum has round holes for fastening attachments or to attach the SUMO itself to other devices. Even the VESA mount, which is typical for monitors, was thought of.
