Blackmagic Camera für Android 2.1 bringt neue Funktionen

Blackmagic has released version 2.1 of its free, professional camera app for Android smartphones. The new version now enables remote control of Blackmagic PYXIS and URSA Cine cameras. This means that recordings can be started or stopped remotely, and settings such as focus, white balance, frame rate, or shutter angle can be monitored and changed remotely - for example, for multicam setups.

This update also adds audio to off-speed recordings, so sound is now also played back when recording video at slower or faster frame rates. The Blackmagic Camera App is now also compatible with motorized gimbals and tripods, making it easier to track objects and people.

The update also offers a zebra display for the mid-gray area and support for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera grip. In addition, the resolution and frame rate compatibility for models from Samsung, Sony and Xiaomi have been improved.
