The latest version of Blackmagic&s DaVinci Resolve 16.1.2 brings several performance improvements and bugfixes. Among other things, the free update brings new buttons for separate audio and video edits as well as for setting in and out points in the cut workspace and optimized indicators for Smart Edits. The update also enables audio playback during trimming, adds new timeline zoom displays in the Edit workspace and improves reactivity when using the DaVinci Resolve Editor keyboards. The update also provides better DCP and IMF support as well as CUDA-based R3D support on Windows and Linux. ;)
It also improves performance in collaborative projects, supports screen names in the workspace menu, and allows copying and pasting of deviation values for Dolby Vision supported midtones. There are also new scripts for APIs and more. Blackmagic recommends backing up all active databases and current projects before upgrading to version 16.1.2.
