Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 19.1.2 is online

Blackmagic Design has just released the new version 19.1.2 of its free grading, editing, compositing, and audio mastering program DaVinci Resolve (Studio). In addition to the usual improvements in overall stability and performance, the update brings a number of bug fixes - so anyone using version 19 should install the update.

For example, the update to version 19.1.2 fixes problems with the playback of audio crossfades on clips with effects, with the use of Open EXR Capture Date metadata, with gyro stabilization in certain Blackmagic RAW decoding modes, and the handling of Fusion compositions when macros are deactivated.

Another improvement specifically concerns the DaVinci Resolve Studio version, which now has more reliable detection of the studio dongle on Windows systems. Blackmagic offers the paid Studio version of DaVinci Resolve, which has additional features compared to the free version, such as AI tools, multi-GPU support, advanced noise reduction, HDR support, Dolby Atmos, and higher resolutions, in two versions. There is a Resolve Studio version with a USB dongle for activation, while in the version without a dongle, the license is tied to a user account and activated online. Both offer the same functions, only the licensing method is different.

Blackmagic Fusion Studio 19.1.2

As always, a new version of Blackmagic Fusion (Studio) has also been released in parallel with the new version of DaVinci Resolve. Fusion 19.1.2 improves the handling of Open EXR metadata, offers a better selection for 3D texture projection in the inspector, and improvements in memory usage when using the splitter control.
