Not as part of a Black Friday promotion, but permanently, Blackmagic is immediately lowering the price of its Pocket Cinema Camera 4K from 1,299 to . In euros, the recommended retail price for the camera now lands at 1,079 euros due to the strong dollar.
;) The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K Equipped with a dual-ISO MFT image sensor that offers a 1:1 sensor readout with 4096 x 2160 photosites, Blackmagic specifies a dynamic range of 13 stops for the camera. Due to the MFT mount and the lack of autofocus, the camera can be "speed boosted" to S35 level with the numerous focal reducers that are now available very cheaply on the used market. This allows for great cinematic combination possibilities, especially with high-quality, inexpensive vintage lenses, for relatively little money. Recording is done in ProRes or Blackmagic RAW to a CFast 2.0 card, SD UHS-II card, or an external USB-C SSD. This all makes it probably the cheapest CINE RAW camera on the market right now. There are also professional mini-XLR inputs with 48-volt phantom power, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack, a headphone jack, and a lockable 12-volt DC power connector. The built-in 5-inch LCD touchscreen enables precise focusing during 4K recordings due to its large image area. ;) The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K The camera has recently received updates, including the current Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science. However, there is no direct Blackmagic Cloud integration like with the younger cameras to date. Instead, Blackmagic is highlighting the compatibility with the new ATEM Mini Switchers, which also make the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K usable as a LIVE/Studio Camera.
