CES 2023 Laptop Lineup from MSI - 13th Gen Intel and RTX 40 from Nvidia

As every year, MSI presents its new laptop lineup at CES 2023, which is almost entirely based on Intel&s 13th generation Core processors and the GPUs of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series.
The Titan GT77 HX and Raider GE78 HX laptops represent the technical high end. They come in the maximum configuration with the Intel Core i9-13980HX and an RTX 4090 with 16 GB GDDR6 memory. The MSI OverBoost Ultra technology is supposed to be able to supply both the processor and the GPU with maximum electrical power simultaneously, even under full load. If only the processor is required, all eight P-cores of the Intel Core i9-13980HX processor can run in parallel with Max Boost performance.
The Titan GT77 HX features a 144 Hz Ultra HD display with mini-LED technology, which is supposed to provide a high-contrast display with a brightness of up to 1,000 nits. The display is certified according to VESA-HDR 1000.
The 17.3-inch Raider GE78 HX and its 15.6-inch counterpart Raider GE68 HX, on the other hand, rely on a QHD+ display with 240 Hz. A special feature here is the 16:10 format. A striking feature of the new Raider models is an updated light bar on the front, which offers a certain recognition value with matrix LED technology. As with the Titan GT77 HX, MSI OverBoost Ultra technology is supported in conjunction with the Intel Core i9-13980HX processor. The Dynaudio sound system is said to have become even more powerful with more speakers - including force-cancelling technology for reduced case vibrations in the Raider GE78 HX. The enlarged touchpad offers more input comfort and the full HD webcam with infrared face recognition can be protected from unauthorised access thanks to a sliding bezel.
The particularly mobile Stealth series now comes with screen diagonals of 14.0, 15.6, 16.0 or 17.3 inches. The Stealth 14 Studio, Stealth 16 Studio and Stealth 17 Studio are also NVIDIA Studio-certified laptops.
Despite a large 16" QHD+ screen, the Stealth 16 Studio is very thin (19.95mm) and relatively light at 1.99kg with GPU equipment up to RTX 4070. For heat dissipation, the newly developed thermal system features 2 fans and 7 heat pipes. A 16:10 QHD+ 240 Hz wide-view display and a 99 Wh battery provide a certain independence compared to a stationary workstation.
The Stealth 14 Studio is the most compact and lightest gaming laptop in MSI&s portfolio with a 16:10 screen in a 14" fomat. Inside the 19 mm thin aluminium-magnesium alloy chassis, configurations up to an 8 GB GDDR6 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPUs are possible.
The Stealth 15 will also be available with an optional OLED display in QHD+ resolution at a high frame rate of 240 Hz. This supports a 100% DCI-P3 colour scale and is certified according to VESA DisplayHDR™ 600 True Black.
MSI has released the Creator Z series explicitly for the target group of media creators. The Creator Z17 HX Studio and the Creator Z16 HX Studio are new. Similar to the gaming laptops, Intel processors of the 13th HX generation up to Core i9 are used here - paired with NVIDIA Studio certified RTX GPUs up to RTX 4070.

And for those looking for similar technology packaged in "business and lifestyle", there are also new Prestige 14 Evo and Prestige 16 Evo models to choose from. These are equipped with Intel Core i7 processors from the H series. The Prestige 16 Studio also has a GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPU built in and the device is also NVIDIA Studio certified. The Thunderbolt 4 ports, Full HD webcam with IR face detection and sliding bezel, the integrated fingerprint scanner and the white illuminated comfort keyboard provide the required features for business use.
Last but not least, the 13-inch Prestige 13 Evo sounds very mobile. It is the lightest notebook in the entire MSI series. The case is made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy, so the entire device weighs only 990 g - at 16.9 mm "thickness". The 75 Wh battery is supposed to last up to 15 hours, partly because there is no dedicated Nvidia GPU installed.
