With the new available firmware update 1.0.4.1 for the Canon EOS R5C, Canon brings important new features to the Canon EOS R5C. The most important new features include longer battery life thanks to the new Power Save Mode, faster switching between photo and video functions, the expansion to 13 additional lenses that can now be used with the Canon EF-EOS R 0.71x Mount Adapter (Canon&s "Speedbooster"). This also includes a new Clear Scan function. ;)

See here also our detailed review of the Canon EOS R5C and the corresponding test clip: Also important new features of the 1.0.4.1 firmware update for the Canon EOS R5C should include variable size selection of the waveform monitor (incl. opacity), vebressed AF tracking performance, 4-channel display at audio levels, a magnification function during 8K Mp4 recording and a digital teleconversion function (1.5x /2x /2.5x /3x). ;) Here are all the new features of the Canon EOS R5 C 1.0.4.1 firmware update: Firmware Version 1.0.4.1 incorporates the following enhancements: 1. the following features are enabled when the following lenses are attached: CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L S, CN-E20-50mm T2.4 L F, CN-E45-135mm T2.4 L F, CN8x15 IAS S/E1,: - Displaying metadata, such as the model name and the focal distance of the lens attached. - Displaying T number. - Support for Peripheral Illumination Correction and Chromatic Lens Aberration Correction. - Support for Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus (CN8x15 IAS S/E1 only). - Support for[Dual Pixel Focus Guide]. The following features are enabled when the following lenses are attached: RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM, RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM: - Adds a menu to switch lens functions. (Focus Ring, Control Ring, Lens Optical Image Stabilization) Adds EF lenses compatible with EF-EOS R 0.71x Mount Adapter.
