The RF 28-70mm F2.8 IS STM can be seen as an ideal complement to the new RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM, which is also available for half the price of its L-series counterpart (RF 24-70MM F2.8L IS USM). The Canon RF lens portfolio stands out from other manufacturers& portfolios due to its high proportion of stabilized lenses – especially in standard and wide-angle zooms – and the new RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM is no exception, making it particularly interesting for video applications. Canon claims compensation of 5.5 stops and 8 stops in combination with in-camera image stabilization. ;) Canon RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM The RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM weighs 445g and measures 76.5 x 91mm when retracted. The filter diameter is 67mm, and the close-focus distances are 0.25m (at 16mm) and 0.2m (at 28mm). The aperture consists of 9 blades. Like other RF lenses, the new RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM features a configurable focus/control ring.
