Everybody who is interested in Vegas 4.0 should take a sharp look at the new offering from Canopus. Today they annouced a complete bundle with the full version of Vegas 4.0 combined with a clever firewire-converter that offers analog in- and outputs. The system sees the internal ACEDVio card as an 100% OHCI-compatible Firewire-Controller. But you can also conncect analog in- and outputs to this card. These signals are converted on the fly, so there is no need for a special software support. Because of this clever trick, you can add analoge signals to every application that can use standard firewire-cards for in- and output. Such as Premiere, Final Cut Pro or the bundled Vegas Video. Especially for Vegas-entusiasts the package is a steal price. For 499 US$ it should be available these days.
