The free and open source tool Cinecred (for Windows, macOS and Linux) was only
officially launched at the beginning of this year, but is developing with very big steps. And so yesterday another new
version 1.5.0 on Github was released, in which, among other things, a lot of user feedback has been incorporated.
The most important changes this time are:
- You can now use a Google Sheet as a credits table. Instructions for creating a new cloud project can be found at
in this manual section.
- You can now embed videos and single image sequences in the credits. Documentation can be found at
in this manual section.
- Backbones could previously only ever be positioned next to or below each other, and on title panels they were always centered vertically. Both restrictions are now removed, among other things with the new coupling function. Documentation on this can be found at
in this manual section.
- You can now add your own auxiliary overlays in the form of aspect ratio crops, guides and whole images. Documentation can be found at
in this manual section.
The complete changelog with all changes
can be found here.
Cinecred (an amalgam of Cinema and Credits) is developed by Felix Mujkanovic, who is also
active in our forum, where he even accepts improvement requests.
