Cinelerra is a free NLE-program for Linux, that reached version 1.1.6. these days. In the new update the firewire-port is said to be fully supported (at least for PAL-video). But also the rest of the program looks very promising: Many Realtime effects, 16-Bit color space and even vector masks, that we havenīt seen in any windows-NLE yet. But take care, itīs still not easy to install...
