Just last year Robby Müller´s camera work -- legendary DoP by Wim Wenders and Jim Jarmush -- was covered here on the occasion of an exhibition in the Berlin Film Museum about his life´s work. Now, after a long illness, the Dutch cameraman has died at the age of 78. As a "master of light", he has long since secured a firm place in film history, because with films such as Paris, Texas (1984) or Down by law (1986) he had a lasting influence on the typical look of "auteur cinema".
