CyberLink is now integrating generative AI functions into its video editing software PowerDirector 365 (Windows). In the current version, videos can now be generated via "Image to Video" and through the combination of "Image+Text to Video". The ability to generate videos using only a text prompt will be added with the next update at the end of March. ;) CyberLink PowerDirector 365 with Image-to-Video AI
With the help of the new "Image to Video" AI function, short video clips can be generated from self-uploaded portrait photos or images with one or two people. Users have the choice between a free text prompt, with which the desired animation of the image can be described, and some presets such as "thumbs up" or "tender kiss". From the end of March, the possibilities to generate videos via AI will be expanded by a "Text to Video" function, with the help of which any videos can be generated by means of free text descriptions, in order to create animations with realistic movements, lighting conditions and textures. The videos can be created in different aspect ratios of 1:1, 16:9 (landscape) and 9:16 (portrait) and in lengths of 5 or 10 seconds. This makes it easy to produce clips for social media, for example. ;) CyberLink PowerDirector 365 with Text-to-Video AI The new video generation functions are now available in PowerDirector 365 for 74.99 euros per year or in the Director Suite 365 for 139.99 euros per year. The "Image to Video" AI function is also available in the PowerDirector App for iOS and Android with immediate effect. Subscribers to the software as well as registered users of the online tool and the app receive free credits for the cloud-based AI functions. The quality (Standard or Professional) and the length of the generated videos determine the number of credits required (between 15 and 50).
