The rumors surrounding the Mavic 4 (Pro) are becoming more concrete, promising a whole range of interesting new features, including a new camera with 6K/60fps video recording, dual native ISO, 14 stops of dynamic range, an electronic ND filter, 2 TB of internal storage, and 52 minutes of flight time.

Thanks to the always reliable DJI leakers OsitaLV, Jasper Ellens, and Igor Bogdanov, who recently reported on the new super-transportable Flip Mini drone, not only have the first photos and videos of the Mavic 4 surfaced, but also some technical specifications. These hint at what DJI&s new top-tier prosumer drone model might bring to the table.

Which models?
The exact naming of the Mavic 4 series is not yet public. Based on registrations with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FCC), it is clear that there will be at least two variants of the Mavic 4 Pro—likely a standard Pro model and a Pro Cine version. Perhaps DJI will simplify the different model types this time to avoid confusion, unlike the four different consumer versions of the Mavic 3 (Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Classic, Mavic 3 Pro, and Mavic 3 Cine) and the two Mavic 3 Enterprise models (Mavic 3E and 3T).

This might be possible because it is expected that each new Mavic 4 submodel will come equipped with a triple-camera system. The primary distinguishing feature between the Pro and Pro Cine models might once again be the high-quality recording capability using Apple ProRes 422 HQ. However, most leaks explicitly refer to just one model—the Mavic 4 Pro.
A whole range of potential features has already been leaked and partially confirmed through screenshots from the DJI Fly App. For example, at least one model of the Mavic 4 Pro—likely the Mavic 4 Pro Cine—is confirmed to have a 2 TB internal SSD storage, similar to the Mavic 3 Pro Cine.

Another model, possibly the Enterprise version, also features highly precise positioning through RTK (Real-Time Kinematic), as revealed in a screenshot. Additionally, a leaked video showcases a new ability to display the live view of the downward-facing VIO camera and the map view in Picture-in-Picture mode, alongside the live feed of the front camera.

Price and release date
If the rumors are true, the Mavic 4 Pro could be a kind of mini-Inspire. The price will likely be slightly higher, with the base version (Mavic 4 Pro solo) expected to cost around 2,200 euros—about 100 euros more than the Mavic 3 Pro. It is expected to hit the market in March/April next year. By then, there will likely be further leaks confirming, expanding, or debunking the above-mentioned information.
