DJI expands its mobile power solutions with the Power Expansion Battery 2000, a powerful add-on battery for its Mobile Power 1000 power station. With the same form factor as the Power 1000 but a capacity of 2 kWh (2048 Wh), the new battery is particularly aimed at filmmakers who need to ensure a reliable power supply in remote locations. The modularly designed Power Expansion Battery 2000 weighs 16.5 kg and, with dimensions of 448.5 × 225 × 234 mm, is relatively compact. It connects to the Power 1000 via a special cable using an SDC port. Up to five Power Expansion Battery 2000 units can be connected to a single power station, providing a total capacity of 3072 Wh, 5120 Wh, 7168 Wh, 9216 Wh, or 11264 Wh. A constant output of 2400 W and peak values of 2600 W are achieved, enabling the reliable powering of high-demand devices such as lights, monitors, and chargers. These devices can be powered via the Power 1000&s two USB-C ports (max. 140 W), two 24-W USB-A ports, or two classic AC outlets. However, the new battery is not compatible with the Power 500 due to the lack of an SDC port. ;) 11 kWh using five DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 units with Power 1000 Fast Charging and DurabilityWith a charging power of 1500 W, the battery can be charged to 50% within 46 minutes, a particularly practical feature for filmmakers who cannot afford long charging times. DJI relies on lithium iron phosphate cells, offering a lifespan of up to 4,000 charge cycles. ;) DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 Multiple Power Expansion Battery 2000 units can be stacked to minimize the required space. All controls, the display, and interfaces are conveniently located on the front for easy access. Alternatively, the status of the Power Expansion Battery can also be monitored via the DJI Home App using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. DJI Power 1000DJI offers a unique feature for using the power stations in combination with DJI drones. Thanks to a fast charging function, drones such as the Mavic 3, Air 3, or Inspire 3 can be charged very quickly via the SDC port. A quick charge from 10% to 95% takes about 30 minutes, and the DJI Power 1000 station provides power for approximately 12 battery charges. However, special charging cables, sold separately for each drone type, are required for this. ;) DJI Power 1000 The power stations can also be used in UPS mode (uninterruptible power supply) to keep connected devices running in the event of a sudden power outage, provided the device is connected via the AC output and the station is plugged into a wall outlet. In case of an emergency, the DJI Power system activates within 0.02 seconds, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
