DZOFILM has added an extreme wide-angle zoom to its Pictor series of Super35 lenses. The new Pictor 12-25mm T2.8 features a relatively fast maximum aperture of T2.8 with an aperture range of T2.8 to T22. The new lens is parfocal, meaning it holds focus throughout the zoom range. The inner focus design with floating elements virtually eliminates focus breathing. The lens covers a Super35 image circle, comes standard with an interchangeable PL mount, and features an EF mount. This brings DZOFILM&s Pictor Zoom lineup to a total of four focal lengths: 12-25mm, 14-30mm, 20-55mm and 50-125mm. ;) DZOFILM Pictor 12-25mm T2.8
The minimum focusing distance of the DZOFILM Pictor 12-25mm T2.8 is 0.4m - making it suitable for close-up photography in space-constrained environments. Thanks to the floating structure, the breathing of Pictor zoom lenses during focusing is negligible. The lens has an 86mm filter thread and is equipped with cine-style gears on the focus, iris and zoom rings, making it compatible with cine accessories such as follow-focus units, lens motors and lens control systems. The 95mm outer front diameter allows the use of a variety of compatible third-party matte boxes. As focus falls, the T2.8 aperture with 16 blades creates soft bokeh.
