With DaVinci Resolve 15, which is now available as a free beta version, practically the complete VFX and compositing program fusion has been integrated as the biggest innovation. It is now available as a new workspace. It provides a true 3D environment with over 250 tools for a wealth of actions including compositing, vector-based painting, particle generation, keying, rotoscoping, text animation, tracking, stabilization and more. However, the complete merger of DaVinci Resolve with DaVinci is by no means complete, but should take another 12-18 months to complete. Blackmagic Design has also added support for Apple Metal and increased use of multiple GPUs and CUDA acceleration. This way, Fusion in DaVinci Resolve works faster than ever. To insert visual effects or motion graphics, users simply select a clip on the Timeline in the Edit workspace and then click to open the Fusion workspace, where they can access Fusion&s dedicated node-based interface. Changes in Fusion are displayed directly without roundtrip or the use of intermediate codecs in the other rooms. The relatively new Fairlight workspace has also received many new functions. It now includes a complete set of ADR tools, static and variable audio retiming with pitch correction, audio normalization, 3D panning, scrollbars for audio and video, a fixed playback head with scrolling timeline, shared sound libraries and support for existing Fairlight projects. In addition, built-in cross-platform plug-ins such as reverb, hum distance, vocal channel and de-esser are available. Since the FairlightFX plug-ins run natively on all three platforms, DaVinci Resolve 15 users no longer need to worry about compatibility when switching between Mac, Windows and Linux. Colorists get a completely new LUT browser for quick previews and for applying LUTs as well as new shared nodes that are linked to each other so that a change made to one node is applied to all others. The fivefold improvement in stabilization performance and improved noise reduction should bring even more pleasure. DaVinci Resolve 15 also extends HDR support with GPU-accelerated Dolby Vision metadata analysis and over ten grading controls for native HDR. With new ResolveFX, users can quickly iron out unpleasantness and/or remove unwanted elements from their settings using smart fill technology (Has anyone here whispered AI?). There are also new ResolveFX for eliminating dust and scratches, lens and aperture diffraction effects and more. DaVinci Resolve 15 should load much faster and open even large projects with hundreds of timelines and thousands of clips right away. New stacked timelines and timeline tabs give editors an instant overview of multiple timelines. Other new features include markers with on-screen comments, tools for subtitles and closed captions, Autosave with versioning, and greatly improved tools for user-defined keyboard mapping, new Fusion title templates in 2D and 3D, image stabilization in the edit workspace, a movable timecode window, improved tools for organization and metadata, render templates for Netflix with IMF support and much more. With the integration of Fusion at the latest, DaVinci Resolve not only develops into direct competition with Adobe&s offerings, but also attacks absolute high-end packages such as Autodesk Smoke/Flame directly. Unlike Adobe, however, Blackmagic has opted for a monolithic environment instead of connecting several programs via interface. Of course, this has advantages and disadvantages. But while Adobe is only available for Mac and Windows, Resolve also runs on Linux. The Studio full version will still cost only 315 Euro, although Fusion (which currently also costs about 300 Euro) is included. And updates will probably remain free again this time. more infos at bei www.blackmagicdesign.com deutsche Version dieser Seite: DaVinci Resolve 15 integriert Fusion-Compositing // NAB2018 |
