Delkin Devices has debuted Type A CFexpress memory cards (the little brother of Type B CFexpress cards) in 80GB and 160GB capacities, offering recording speeds of up to 790MB/s (or 730MB/s for the 80GB model) for video recording or RAW continuous shooting. For example, a Sony A1 can record video in UltraHD 8K resolution at 30fps (and a bit rate of 400 Mbps) onto Delkin&s Black and Power christened CFexpress, respectively. The CFexpress 2.0 Type A memory cards are a slightly smaller and slower version of the widely used CFexpress Type B memory card, but use the same PCI Express technology, but only 1 instead of 2 PCIe lanes. While Type B CFexpress cards are fast up to 2,000 MB/s, Type A cards reach a maximum of 1,000 MB/s according to the specification). The even larger Type C CFexpress cards can even be 4,000 MB/s fast, but there are none on the market yet. So far, Sony is the only camera manufacturer to use CFexpress Type A cards for recording (the Sony A7s III made a start in 2020) and was also (  until recently) the only supplier of CFexpress Type A cards.  CFexpress types Delkin&s Black/Power CFexpress Type A memory cards can transfer data at speeds up to 880 MB/s, allowing fast data transfer from the card to the computer. Each of the new CFexpress Type A (the Black as well as Power models) memory cards have been extensively tested by Delkin to ensure full functionality and performance in today&s high-end cinema cameras such as the Sony A1, A7S III, A7 IV, FX3 and FX6. Delkin, for example, is focusing entirely on professional users with the two Black models, and that&s why it offers an integrated insurance policy for its Black memory cards, the "48-Hour Replacement Guarantee," in addition to the "Lifetime Warranty." Delkin will replace any non-functioning Black card within 48 hours or less (weekends not included - in the U.S. and U.K.) before the non-functioning card is received.
