Dell UltraSharp UP3221Q: 4K 32" professional monitor with 2,000 mini LED zones, Thunderbolt and colo

Dell has introduced a new monitor for professional users that not only supports the DisplayHDR 1000 standard and is 1,000 nits bright, but also has an integrated colorimeter for color calibration. And the color space coverage is also very good: the professional DCI-P3 color space coverage is 99.8%, Adobe RGB 93% and BT.2020 color space 83%.

The DisplayHDR 1000 certification is achieved and thus very good HDR display also by local dimming through 2,000 mini LED zones. By using these local dimming zones, which can illuminate different areas of the screen with different levels of brightness, a much larger contrast range can be displayed on the screen, ranging from true black (i.e. backlighting deactivated) to the brightest white. In addition, the halo effect or "light bleeding" in bright areas is minimized.
The UltraSharp UP3221Q comes factory pre-calibrated (with a Delta E value of <1) and uses a (true) 10-bit IPS panel with a resolution of UltraHD 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels). Like the Dell UltraSharp UP2720Q, the new monitor can be recalibrated using its fold-out colorimeter from Calman, which is located below the monitor surface.

The interface selection includes a DisplayPort 1.4, two HDI 2.0 ports and a Thunderbolt 3 input, which can also supply connected notebooks with up to 90 watts of power. Via an additional Thunderbolt 3 output, further devices (such as another Thunderbolt monitor) can be connected via daisy chain. Furthermore the UP3221Q offers two SuperSpeed USB 3.2 ports with 10 Gbps speed. An external colorimeter can be connected via another USB port.
For better ergonomics, the monitor can be tilted 21°/-5°, turned 160mm in height, turned 30° left and right, and turned 90° (pivot) vertically for use in portrait mode. A joystick integrated in the edge of the screen is available for better navigation in the screen menus.
The Dell UltraSharp 32 HD PremierColor UP3221Q will be available from November 5 at a price of around 4,500 euros. A three-sided magnetic anti-glare hood is included to reduce disturbing lateral reflections.
