With the X100 series in retro design, Fujifilm appeals more to photographers than to filmmakers, but the latest generation of fixed focal length cameras has a lot to offer to cut a good figure in the video field. For example, video recordings can now be saved in Cinema-4K (29.97p / 25p / 24p / 23.98p, 200Mbps / 100Mbps), but only for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time, a limitation that is also known from some other Fuji cameras. For this purpose F-Log is implemented besides Eterna. In FullHD the X100V films with up to 60p (15min) or in slow motion mode with 120p/100p (max 6min). For a recording on external recorders a 10 bit 4:2:2 signal is output via HDMI. An external microphone can be used via a 2.5mm stereo mini jack input. Unfortunately, there is no trace of image stabilization, which is not disturbing when taking pictures, but makes the camera really attractive for filming only in combination with a gimbal or similar. Compared to its predecessor, the X100V has a new, back-exposed X-Trans 26.1 MP CMOS sensor in APS-C size (without low-pass filter) as well as a likewise newly designed F2 fixed focal length of 23mm (equivalent to 35mm for KB), which should be improved in terms of resolution and distortion correction. A four-stage ND filter is also integrated here again. For processing image data, the X-Processor 4 is equipped with a new AF algorithm, which should enable more precise focusing even in low light (down to -5 EV). According to Fuji, the hybrid viewfinder has been further developed. It can be used either as an optical viewfinder with 0.52x magnification or as an electronic viewfinder (EVF) with 3.69 million pixels. The 7.6 cm (3-inch) LC display can now be folded up slightly, offering touch functionality and a higher resolution of 1.62 million pixels. The weatherproof X100V weighs 478g and measures 128.0 × 74.8 × 53.3mm. It offers WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity and geotagging. For 1,499 euro it should be available from the end of February (in silver, a black version will follow in March). more infos at bei fujifilm-x.com deutsche Version dieser Seite: Kompakte FUJIFILM X100V bietet C4K-Aufnahme mit F-Log (und externe 10Bit 4:2:2) |
