With the Blue 3D SSD 4TB (WDS400T2B0A), Western Digital has now introduced its first 4 TB large 2.5" SSD in 7mm construction. Via the SATA 6 Gbps interface, the SSD achieves a read speed of 560 MB/s and a write speed of 530 MB/s or 95,000 optional 4K read transfers and 84,000 write transfers. The SSD uses Marvell&s 88SS1074 controller and Western Digital/SanDisk&s 64-layer 3D TLC NAND memory. Blue 3D Series SSDs are also available in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities and alternatively in M.2 2280 form factor.

The Western Digital Blue SSD 3D 2.5 4TB is already listed online for 
533 Euro, which corresponds to a price of around 0.13 Cent per GB - so the new WD Blue 3D SSD is one of the cheapest 4 TB SSDs available alongside Samsung&s 860 QVO and EVO. But it will be delivered in 1-3 weeks.
