The VFX guru Andrew Kramer has a free plugin for Adobe After Effects posted by means of which very easily can be realized lightsabers. The Saber plugin is pretty conversant and can be used for a variety of other effects, as there any (via masks defined) properties or as a text with a bright lights (if desired as also with an additional iridescent mist) can be provided. It can parameters such as color, Intensitaet (of the object as well as the halo) and size of lighting can be adjusted. In the well halbstuendigen Tutorial Clip Andrew leads - as always very entertaining - some of the many possibilities of Saber plugin before, which should delight especially science fiction filmmakers.
