2017 was the year of the new German series: first and foremost, of course, Tom Tykwer&s 40 million Euro production Babylon Berlin (as a co-production of Sky and ARD) - but also the first German Amazon in-house production "You are Wanted" by/with Matthias Schweighöfer, the gangster drama "4 Blocks" by TNT,"Jerks" by Maxdome,"Culpa" by 13th Street and the "Dark"produced by Netflix were successful. German production companies (such as the NEUESUPER from Munich, portrayed by Der Zeit) as well as German actors and film-set employees profit from this development. The reasons for this development are probably the EU&s 20% rate for European productions for video-on-demand providers and the willingness of providers to distinguish themselves in the individual national markets. The new funds and ways for German productions let us hope that more interesting and creative series will now be produced in Germany than before, according to the American model - and those that have not been adapted to the (supposed) taste of a seniors& audience by an ÖR editorial team using the smallest common denominator scissors. The makers are no longer totally dependent on the WCCs, but have other interested parties who may produce projects on better terms (and possibly less influence). Good authors are finally in demand and work on projects that are close to their hearts. A sign of this: the production company NEUESUPER would like to establish the American showrunner system with the central role of the authors (also as producers) here as well. Keep it up in 2018: Sky Deutschland produces among other things a serial sequel to the classic "Das Boot", a sequel to "4 Blocks" and the end of the world series "Acht Tage" - Netflix "Dogs of Berlin" and a second season of "You are Wanted", Amazon the Berlin-Club thriller "Beat". more infos at bei www.zeit.de deutsche Version dieser Seite: Deutsche TV-Serien sind im Kommen - produziert von Sky, Netflix und Amazon |
