GoPro has announced that the current top model of its action cams ;) GoPro Hero 8 Black
However, for the time being the GoPro Webcam Desktop App is only available under OS-X, a Windows version is under development. Here are the instructions in four steps: 1. installation of the beta firmware on the HERO8 Black. 2. installation of the new GoPro Webcam Desktop-App on your computer. 3. connect the HERO8 Black to your computer with any USB-C cable (to example with the cable that came with the GoPro). 4 After logging in to a compatible videoconferencing application, the GoPro Hero 8 can then be turned off selected from the list of available camera sources The Hero 8 Black and the GoPro webcam desktop app are currently compatible with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Discord and BlueJeans as well as Webex, Skype, Facebook Rooms, Facebook Messenger and Slack when accessed via Google Chrome on Mac OS. The Hero 8 Black can also be used for live streaming on YouTube and to start a new movie recording in QuickTime. The GoPro Hero 8 Black, Hero 7 Black and MAX can also stream live in real time directly to Twitch, YouTube, Facebook profiles and Facebook pages.
