Grass Valley at NAB has released a new version of Edius presented. She brings a new interface in addition to supporting new formats (JPEG2000, Panasonic AVC-Intra and DVCPRO HD 720p, HDV 1080 24p/25p/30p Sony and JVC HDV 720 50p/60p), storable user profiles and project default, simple DVD authoring and support by VMF. The update to version 4.5 is free for registered users Edius free. The new version of transcoding and encoding tools called Thomson ProCoder and ProCoder 3.0 will also support the new formats (H.264, iPod and other portable video formats, AVCHD decoding) and the Support for multiple processor or multi-core systems, the grid encoding, telecine, audio, and Dolby Digital Mapping. The basic functionality includes batch encoding, multi-encoding of different profiles, video filters, color correction and noise reduction. The ProCoder runs under Windows and costs $ 499, the upgrade and the Student version $ 199.
