At NAB 2018, HP presented an update to the G5 version of the ZBook Studio notebook series, each with very different models with 4K displays. One of them, the ZBook Studio x360 G5 Convertible Workstation, can also be used as a tablet via a folding 15.6" touch screen.
A special feature is the possibility to configure the model with a 600 nits bright DreaamColor UltraHD 4K display, which covers the sRGB color space 100% (another alternative is an even brighter FullHD display with 650 nits) - protected by Corning Gorilla Glas 4. Like the ZBook x2 presented in September 2017, HP is competing with the new models with Microsoft's Surface Convertibles.

An Intel Core i7/i5 or Xeon processor of the 8th generation with up to 8 cores and 4.6 GHz turbo clock can be used as CPU. However, the RAM is limited to a maximum of 32 GB. The GPU is either integrated in the CPU (Intel UHD Graphics 630 or P630) or a dedicated Nvidia Quadro P1000 with 4 GB DDR5 RAM. Interfaces include 2 x USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0, 2 xUSB 3.1 Type C / Thunderbolt 3 ports. The models in the ZBook Studio x360 G5 series will be available from around 1,350 Euro from May.
Also new are the other models ZBook Studio G5: the ZBook 17 G5 with 4K 17.3" IPS display is particularly powerful and memory efficient, which can be configured with up to 64 GB RAM, a Nvidia Quadro P5200 GPU with 16 GB DDR5 RAM and 10 TB mass storage. Like the x360, the model can be equipped with the latest Coffee Lake Intel CPUs and also has two Thunderbolt 3 ports. The other models include the ZBook 15 G5 and 15v G5.
