Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) also for Sony FS5 and PXW-Z150

We reported already about hybrid Log Gamma and how it seems the standard is likely to actually win very quickly influence. Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) uses the lower part of a typical transfer function REC709 gamma curve, while a log function is adhered in the upper half. A normal SDR TV or monitor, sees only the lower part of the curve during an HDR TV can evaluate the whole graph illustrating. Now, (after Panasonic for the GH5) now Sony announced that the FS5 and PXW-Z150 will receive a new firmware update in July, which integrates HLG as another picture profile to the cameras.
