Insta360 has released the Flow 2, a new model in its smartphone gimbal series, primarily targeting content creators, filmmakers, and vloggers who want to stabilize highly dynamic shots and film themselves. Stabilization and Active Tracking via DockKit and GimbalInsta360 particularly emphasizes the intelligent recording features, because as with its predecessor model  Flow Pro, the 357-gram Flow 2 can be used not only as a stabilizer but also as a robotic cameraman for automatic recordings of a moving person from a fixed standpoint. The Flow Pro uses Apple&s DockKit technology for subject tracking, providing precise subject tracking with the iPhone camera app, the free Blackmagic Camera app, and over 200 third-party iOS apps such as FaceTime, Zoom, or TikTok. This allows for unrestricted movement in space while simultaneously creating self-videos, live streaming, or making video calls. ;) Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracking via Deep Track 4.0Deep Track 4.0 is an advancement of the AI-powered tracking technology that has been integrated into Insta360&s 360° cameras and action cams for years. The interplay of gimbal mechanics and Insta360&s Deep Track AI tracking technology allows the Flow 2 Pro to track subjects in real time, rotate to follow the subject&s movements, and automatically adjust the image orientation. ;) Insta360 Flow 2 Pro The tracking should (re)recognize the respective person, even if the view of the subject is temporarily obstructed or if it is seen from different perspectives. If a subject moves out of the image area, the Flow should continue to track it by zooming out or following the direction of movement. Deep Track 4.0 also offers special tracking functions such as Active Zoom Tracking, which allows subjects to be captured and tracked with up to 15x zoom (only on iPhone 12 to 16 Pro/Pro Max models), and Multi-Person Tracking, which can keep track of an entire group of people. The integrated Pro Framing Grid is an AI-assisted function that incorporates the Golden Ratio into every shot to help beginners achieve better image composition and design. ;) Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Further Improvements of the Flow 2Improvements compared to previous models include the design, which is now significantly more robust, as well as the 360° Infinite Pan Tracking function and the Free Tilt Mode, which can be used to create crane shots and tilt shots. The Flow 2 Pro also supports recording with Dolby Vision and Apple ProRes for better image quality with greater color depth and dynamic range. The Flow 2 Pro now features a mirror directly on the housing for the first time, allowing filmmakers to frame their shots correctly even without a screen. Using the Flow 2 Pro&s teleprompter mode, creators can integrate reading text directly into their recording or live stream workflow. ;) Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Practical for filming without a team is the ability to remotely control the Flow 2 Pro using an Apple Watch or a second smartphone. This allows camera settings to be adjusted, recording to be started or stopped, or tracking to be controlled without interrupting the recording.
