The latest version of the Insta360 camera brings some major improvements - but it is intended purely for professional VR/360° applications, which becomes clear when looking at the price of around 5,600 Euros. With 6 integrated 200° cameras with f/2.4 lenses, the new Insta360 Pro 2 can take 360-degree 3D video at up to 30fps or 12K photos at 8K resolution. New compared to the previous version is the possibility to shoot videos in HDR. Each of the six cameras can record at up to 120 Mbps on its own microSD card with dedicated access for merging the image into a 3D panorama - thus achieving frame rates of 60 fps when recording 8K 2D video, 30 fps at 8K 3D video and 30 fps at 8K 2D HDR video. Insta360 Pro 2 camera A special proxy file of the 360°/3D video (including gyro metadata for subsequent image stabilization) is stored on a separate SD card for fast processing with Insta360&s Premiere Pro CC Plugin - so cutting is possible without great processor load. The final video is then assembled from the raw microSD data from the six cameras using proxy cutting. Alternatively, the Insta360 Pro 2 can also store an already assembled video on the SD card - but this is only available in 3D at a maximum of 30 fps and a resolution of 4K due to the limited computing power. The new CrystalView technology is intended to solve another problem, namely the fact that high-quality VR/360° video is produced and broadcast in ever increasing resolutions (8K and more), but viewers already have problems displaying 4K VR correctly on their smartphones or VR headsets. For this purpose CrystalView divides the 360° video into many different segments, each representing a small section of the overall panorama. Then the segment viewed by the user is transmitted in high resolution, the rest only in low resolution - this makes it possible to offer the viewer the best possible image quality without reaching the limit of the transmission bandwidth. CrystalView technology will be used for local playback of 360° content as well as for online streaming and video-on-demand. It enables the playback of VR content with a resolution of 8K and higher. The exchangeable 5,100 mAh battery that weighs only 1550 grams Insta360 Pro 2 is sufficient for approx. 60 minutes of recording. It has four integrated microphones and two extra 3.5mm audio inputs. It can be pre-ordered with immediate effect and will be delivered from September. Bild zur Newsmeldung: deutsche Version dieser Seite: Insta360 Pro 2 Kamera: 8K Video in 3D mit 30fps |
