LG calls the new 38WK95 its new UltraWide flagship and aims to replace multi-monitor setups with just one display - the 21:9 format Curved Monitor is the largest in its line, at 38" (96.52cm), which includes other 29" and 34" models and has a corresponding QHD+ resolution of 3,840 x 1,600 pixels.
Important for more professional work: it comes factory color calibrated and supports the HDR10 standard - but the brightness of its AH-IPS panel with 10-bit (8-bit+FRC) color depth is only average at 300 cd/m² - as is the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angle. This covers 99% of sRGB color space.

Two HDMI (with HDCP 2.2), a DisplayPort, USB-C and a USB 3.0 hub are available at interfaces. Via USB-C not only the image data can be transferred but also a connected laptop can be charged with up to 60W. Via screen split, the images of all four inputs can be displayed simultaneously on the monitor. Using the OnScreen Control 2.0 software, the settings of the monitor can be changed by mouse.
The LG 38WK95C is also particularly suitable for working with two computers on only one screen, so that two image sources can be connected to the monitor simultaneously via Dual Link up via the DisplayPort and the USB-C connection. This allows you to use two PCs, notebooks or a Windows PC and a Mac in parallel on one monitor. The devices can then also be operated with a single mouse and keyboard using the dual controller function.
To adjust the ideal viewing position, the LG 38WK95C can be tilted 5° forward or 10! backwards and adjusted by 10cm in height. The LG 38WK95C will cost around 1,500 Euro, the 34" model around 400 Euro, the 29" model 250 Euro - the latter both also have a lower resolution and are somewhat slimmed down in features.
