LG is expanding its line of OLED monitors for professional users with a 65" 4K UltraHD display, advertised with images of it being used in a color grading studio. The huge LG 65EP5G UltraFine Display OLED Pro has a whole host of pro features, including programmable hardware 1D & 3D LUTs, an HDR/SDR split-screen mode, and multiple color-accurate profiles for quick switching between calibrated modes. The OLED panel with RWBG strip arrangement has a color depth of 10bit and a covers the BT709 color space to 120%, the Adobe RGB to 99% and the professional DCI-P3 to 98.5%. Thanks to the OLED technology used, the contrast ratio is very high at 1,850,000:1 - peak brightness is 770 nits (APL 10%). Supported IP formats include ST-2110 and ST-2022-6, and another interface is a genlock input for use in broadcast and virtual production applications. LG UltraFine Display OLED Pro 65EP5G Control Panel The control panel includes five buttons, which can be assigned to frequently used functions or profiles with various monitor settings and picture quality options, as well as dedicated buttons for menu, input, profiles, a rotary switch and an APL and tally display. A variety of user-defined screen functions are also available, such as Marker, Zoom, Audio Level Meter, and Waveform and Vector Color. The advanced calibration function, allows color calibration using LG&s software (SuperSign for white balance). HDR formats HDR-10, HLG and DolbyVision are supported. LG UltraFine Display OLED Pro 65EP5G LG has not yet revealed when exactly the LG 65EP5G UltraFine Display OLED Pro will appear and how much it will cost. However, LG had already introduced the 31.5" UltraFine OLED Pro monitor 32EP950 in January, and it is expected to be released at a price of around 3,500 euros at the end of July, along with the other 4K OLED Pro models 27EP950, 32BP95E and 27BP95E (the latter two models also have an integrated colorimeter for hardware color calibration).
