LTX Studio has also been launched with five practical features that make the work of the virtual filmmaker much easier: - Face Motion Capture enables the animation of a virtual face using real video recordings of human facial expressions (e.g. via webcam), i.e. the face of a virtual character can be animated directly as if by puppetry - Start and end frame function or keyframe control allows users to define the first and last frame of a clip and then have the AI generate the transition between them. - Character dialogue via synchronization of speech and lip movements of the virtual characters - Real-time team collaboration to view and edit a project
PriceThe  price system of LTX Studio is somewhat difficult to understand, as it is calculated according to computing seconds, i.e. the time that a selected AI function requires for calculation. As LTX Studio integrates many different functions, such as rendering videos, changing camera angles or adding shots to a scene, the amount of processor power (and therefore indirectly time) required varies greatly. However, this time is relative and depends entirely on the processing power that can actually be used. Only experience can show whether this computing power is constant and how high the consumption of computation seconds is for each G&function. At least Lightricks also offers a free account to try out, which has 3,800 seconds per month - an 8 dollar per month account offers 8,640, a 35 dollar account then 28,800 seconds. ;) LTX Studio Storyboard Still not ready for primetimeLightricks combines an impressive arsenal of various AI tools under one roof in LTX Studio. For the different functions, a mix of open-source models, licensed third-party services, and proprietary technology is used. However, the AI-generated videos, with their maximum 4-second-long moving images, resemble an animated slideshow more than a real video and still show serious morphing artifacts, as the embedded videos below demonstrate—unfortunately, not much has improved in this regard compared to the version from April. This highlights the significant qualitative difference between Lightricks& video AI (presumably Stable Video Diffusion) and currently usable state-of-the-art video AIs like Runway&s Gen 3 or Kling in terms of image quality, object consistency, and their movements. In the future, however, other video AIs should also be integrable via API. ;) Studio UI So what can LTX Studio be used for? Due to its quality, the tool is currently more recommended for storyboards, visual concepts, or short, surreal AI mini-films rather than photorealistic content. The previous demo clips from LTX Studio have more of the character of strange movie trailers than real films. But—this shows the rapid development in the field of AI—this assessment could change in the coming months and certainly in the years to come. In any case, Lightricks demonstrates with LTX Studio what AI filmmaking of the future could look like once all the teething problems are eliminated.
