For over a decade, the external Lacie Rugged hard drives have enjoyed great popularity with many users in their orange rubber cases. One reason for this is that the devices have been continuously developed over the years and small but nice details have been added time and again.
The LaCie Rugged RAID Pro now with 2x2TB of storage
The new Rugged RAID Pro model is no different. There are two hard disks in the housing that work internally in the RAID network. As RAID 0 system the full 4TB with transmission speeds up to 240 MB/s are available. Only 2 TB can be used as RAID 1 system, but mirrored on two disks they offer very high reliability. Configuration is done with LaCie RAID Manager, a simple tool for desktops.

Should a data failure occur despite everything, a free data recovery service contract up to 3 years after the purchase is now also included in the price.
The Rugged RAID Pro is connected via a USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 interface, which is of course backwards compatible with USB 3.0.
The LaCie Rugged RAID Pro Connectors
The integrated SD card reader, which is no longer integrated in flat notebooks or modern Macbooks, can also be practical.
The LaCie Rugged RAID Pro will be available for this quarter, i.e. by the end of June at the latest. The price includes a one-month license of Adobe Creative Cloud.
