MKE 2 elements: Waterproof (!) Micro for GoPro from Sennheiser // NAB 2017

After a long development period, it is now ready: the waterproof microphone for the GoPro Hero 4 from Sennheiser. Good mics for the GoPros there are some a waterproof is not known to us however. The MKE 2 elements is connected to the GoPro Hero 4 via USB and its own back (BacPac Backdoor). Sennheiser guarantees underwater operation for 30 minutes to 1m water depth. PIC1 The MKE2 elements offers a transmission range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, comes with a water-resistant windstopper and weighs 45 g. It is mounted on a softmount against shocks. If the MKE 2 elements would work as easily as presented by Sennheiser, the new GoPro micro could have the material to significantly change GoPro videos.
