DJI has released a major update for its DJI Mini 2 drone, newly launched 2 months ago. The update, version number 01.02.0100, brings a zoom function in photo mode (it already exists in video modes) for the successor to the Mavic Mini 2. DJI has also added the ability to record 2.7K video at 48, 50 and 60 fps. In addition, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have been optimized for faster connections and flight stability has been improved.

Actually DJI is dealing with two updates, DJI had first released the major feature update (V01.02.000) which apparently caused problems, but they were discovered quickly enough for DJI to fix them in a bug fix update (V01.02.0100 ) right after.

Users will need to update to DJI Fly app version 1.2.2 to take advantage of the new features. iOS users should already have this version installed, Android users will need to download it from the DJI website as it is not yet online in the Googlre Play Store.
Priced from around 440 euros, the DJI Mini 2 is an extremely lightweight (249g) compact drone that offers significant advantages over its predecessor, including improved recording capabilities, more powerful motors, significantly improved transmission technology (OcuSync 2.0) for a longer and more reliable connection, 4K video recording, a higher bitrate of 100 Mbps e and optimized intelligent recording modes.
