With the Motorized Precision EVO, a new Cinebot was introduced at NAB 2025, which aims to make reproducible camera movements accessible to a wider range of users due to its comparatively low entry-level price. The EVO is easily transportable due to its relatively low weight of only approx. 20 kg and its compact design, and can therefore be used for shoots at changing locations. The robot arm offers a payload of up to 5 kg, which should be sufficient for many common camera setups. ![]() Motorized Precision EVO
It has a maximum reach of 0.85 m, a speed of up to 2 m/s and a repeatability of ± 0.02 mm, which enables precisely repeatable camera movements. The power supply is flexible via standard mains power (110V/220V) or optionally via a generator for mobile use. Flexible Software and intuitive controlThe programmable control is via a special motion control software, which is offered in two versions: MP Studio Lite as a more cost-effective basic version and MP Studio Pro for extended functionality for multi-robot control and virtual production workflows. Important to note: In addition to the license costs, there are annual fees for support and updates, which are mandatory, especially for the Lite version. ![]() Motorized Precision EVO Software The EVO can alternatively also be controlled intuitively via standard video game controllers. In addition, the hand-guiding function enables the quick setup and storage of motion paths directly on the robot arm, which can shorten the training period. Motorized Precision promises quick commissioning via plug-and-play setup. ![]() Motorized Precision EVO With the EVO, Motorized Precision is primarily targeting YouTubers, indie filmmakers, content creators and smaller studios who want to enhance their productions with the special camera movements possible with the Cinebot. A range of optional hardware and software add-ons such as FIZ kits (Focus, Iris, Zoom), DMX interfaces, turntables and various mounting options (standard plate, Mitchell mount) allow individual adaptation to specific needs and budgets. ![]() Motorized Precision EVO Pricing and availabilityThe base price for the EVO Cinebot is ,999, but the cost of the control software must also be added: MP Studio Lite costs ,999 for the license plus 1,999 annually (support/updates, mandatory). MP Studio Pro costs ,999 (license) plus ,000 annually (support/updates, mandatory in the first year). The first pre-orders started at the end of March 2025 and were quickly sold out. Delivery of the first production batch is expected at the end of April 2025, with further batches to follow from mid/end of May. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Motorized Precision EVO: Reproduzierbare Kamerabewegungen für Filmemacher |
