Nagasoft Caster-X1 Live Production Tablet receives NDI HX interface

Nagasoft has extended its live switcher Caster X1 with the NDI HX protocol via firmware update. NDI HX enables the transmission of live video over a normal IP network. The Caster X1 is a tablet that acts as a switcher for live streaming productions and offers a built-in 11.6" full HD touch screen monitor as well as multi-channel switching, recording, broadcasting, an integrated audio mixer, special effects and signal monitoring.

As input, there are 6 input channels: two SDI and two HDMI ports are available for the input of camera signals, in addition video streams can also come via NDI from the network or internal storage (one 256GB SSD). The final product of the processed input can either be recorded or streamed via network (Ethernet or WLAN) or 4G directly from the tablet, for example to Youtube or Facebook. (FullHD with maximum 60fps).
The most important features of the Nagasoft Caster X1: - Multi-platform live streaming: With one click the program stream can be streamed directly to different platforms like Mudu, AndLive, Facebook, YouTube as well as RTMP, RTSP or SRT servers. With the help of a QR code smartphones can be connected to the caster without being in the same WLAN. The Nagasoft smartphone app makes it easy to enter text on the device so that even long ULRs can be easily entered or copied. - No-Delay Switching: The six video signals are switched without delay via the 11.6" touch display simply by touching the respective video channel. - PTZ Control: The Caster supports the control of up to 4 PTZ cameras. Functions like zoom, focus, iris, up, down and 8 different directions can be controlled remotely. Supports ONVIF, VISCA over IP as well as the NDI protocol and supplies power to connected PTZ cameras via PoE (Power over Ethernet). - Video recording: The caster can record up to 6 video signals (SDI-1/2, HDMI-1/2, NET/PGM) and has a shutdown protection.

- Network support: With Ethernet, WiFi and a 4G module (for sim cards) all requirements for live transmissions are covered. - XLR inputs and outputs: In addition to the video inputs, two microphones can be connected via XLR connectors. A headphone jack and two XLR outputs allow professional monitoring and audio output. - Audio Mixer Function: With the integrated audio mixer, the input and output volume of the audio signal of each individual source can be adjusted. - Intuitive Touch Interface: An intuitive user interface makes live streaming easy and effective. - Scoreboard function: With a large number of templates for "scoreboards", the real-time results of live sports events such as basketball, soccer, table tennis, badminton or volleyball can be integrated directly into the stream. - Character Generator (CG) Fade-in: With the Character Generator up to 12 preset or imported images in jpg/png format can be directly integrated and freely positioned. - Live+ Connectivity: Thanks to the Naga NDDIP protocol, front-end devices such as smartphones and encoders can be directly integrated wirelessly by scanning a QR code or entering a numeric code. - Firmware-Updates: The manufacturer is constantly developing the Caster X1 and provides new features via firmware updates.
