Netflix certifies Sony FX6 for in-house productions

After recently both Panasonics BGH1 and Canons EOS C70 of Netflix .... has now also Sony&s full-frame camera FX6 this "accolade" received. Thus the Sony FX 6 is certified after already 10 other Sony cameras such as the Sony Venice, FX9, F65/55 or F5, FS7 (II) for Netflix productions.

Netflix recommends the following

camera settings for the FX6 for 4K shooting in XAVC for its Netflix Originals in-house productions: Cin EI ("Shooting Mode"), S-Gamut3/SLog 3 or better S-Gamut3.Cine/SLog3 ("Color Gamut"), XAVC-I as codec, a resolution of DCI 4K (4,096 x 2,160) or UltraHD 4K (3,840 x 2,160), and ISO 800 / ISO 12800 as "Base ISO".

Other certified recording modes include XAVC-I UltraHD 4K at 120 fps for high-speed recording, as well as 4K RAW 16-bit uncompressed video recording in 4K DCI (4,096 x 2,160) at 23.98p/24p/25p/29.97p/50p/59.94p when paired with an SDI-connected external recorder such as the

"Atomos Shogun 7". The FX6 is not certified for anamorphic recording.
