Apple has, as expected, introduced a new generation of MacBook Pro models featuring M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips, which, in addition to increased performance, bring other improvements such as Thunderbolt 5 ports, a new 12MP Center Stage camera, and Apple Intelligence. Central to the upgrade are the new M4 chips, manufactured in second-generation 3-nanometer technology, which deliver significantly better performance and battery life than the previous generation. Apple MacBook Pros with M4 Apple 14" MacBook Pro with M4The new 14" MacBook Pro with M4 features a 10-core CPU with four performance cores and six efficiency cores, as well as a 10-core GPU. For the first time, the base version is equipped with at least 16 GB and supports up to 32 GB with a memory bandwidth of 120 GB/s. In addition to the internal display, the M4 model also supports two high-resolution external displays and offers three Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of just 3, as well as a 1 or 2 TB SSD. Compared to a 13" MacBook Pro with M1, the new 14" MacBook M4 is up to 1.8 times faster for image editing in Affinity Photo, up to 3.4 times faster in 3D rendering in Blender, and—especially important for video editing—up to 1.7 times faster for scene edit detection in Adobe Premiere Pro. Apple MacBook Pros with M4 Apple MacBook Pro with M4 ProThe MacBook Pro with M4 Pro, available in 14" or 16" versions, is significantly faster than the base M4 model: its CPU features 12 or 14 cores, with ten performance cores and four efficiency cores, and a 16 or 20-core GPU that is twice as powerful as the M4. The memory bandwidth is 75 percent larger compared to the previous generation, with RAM options of 24 GB or 48 GB and storage ranging from 512 GB to 4 TB. Compared to a 16" MacBook Pro with M1 Pro, the new MacBook Pro with M4 Pro is up to 4 times faster when rendering scenes with Maxon Redshift, up to 2.2 times faster for dynamic system simulation in MathWorks MATLAB, and up to 1.8 times faster for DNA sequencing basecalling in Oxford Nanopore MinKNOW. Apple MacBook Pro with M4 MaxThe new flagship model is the MacBook Pro with M4 Max, which comes in one 14" and two 16" versions with a 14/16-core CPU and 32/40-core GPU, as well as a memory bandwidth of over half a terabyte per second for unified memory. RAM options include 36 GB or 48 GB, while the larger 16-core CPU / 40-core GPU model can be configured with 64 or even 128 (!) GB—making it ideal for running large LLMs in AI applications that often require massive memory. SSD storage options range from 1 TB up to 8 TB. The powerful Media Engine in the M4 Max, with two ProRes accelerators, is said by Apple to excel in tasks like editing 4K120 ProRes videos in Final Cut Pro, as captured with the new iPhone 16 Pro. Compared to a 16" MacBook Pro with M1 Max, the new MacBook Pro with M4 Max is up to 3.5 times faster when rendering scenes in Maxon Redshift, up to 2.2 times faster when compiling code in Xcode, and up to 1.6 times faster in video processing with Topaz Video AI. Apple MacBook Pros with M4 Hardware UpgradesThe new MacBook Pro comes with a new display option with nano-texture glass, which significantly reduces reflections and glare. In bright environments, the new MacBook Pro can now display SDR content at up to 1,000 nits, while HDR content can still reach a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits—ideal for outdoor work in sunlight. The MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro and M4 Max now feature Thunderbolt 5 ports for the first time, offering double the transfer speed of up to 120 Gbit/s. All MacBook Pro models have an HDMI port that supports resolutions of up to 8K, an SDXC card slot, a MagSafe 3 charging port, and a headphone jack, along with support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Also new is the 12MP Center Stage camera, which is designed to provide optimal video quality even in challenging lighting conditions. Prices and AvailabilityThe new MacBook Pro is available for pre-order now and will begin shipping on Friday, November 8. The 14" MacBook Pro with M4 starts at 1,899 euros; the 14" MacBook Pro with M4 Pro at 2,399 euros; the 16" MacBook Pro at 2,899 euros; and the MacBook Pro Max at 4,699 euros—the 128 GB configuration costs 5,849 euros. more infos at bei www.apple.com deutsche Version dieser Seite: Neue Apple MacBook Pros mit M4 und bis zu 128 GB Arbeitsspeicher und 8 TB SSD |
