Nanlite has introduced a new series of professional LED panels called "Alien," which initially includes the two models Alien 150C and Alien 300C. They were developed with a separate lamp head and control unit to ensure greater flexibility and mobility. The lamp head of the Alien 150C weighs only 3.6 kg, while the Alien 300C weighs 6.6 kg—the low weight allows for easy mounting on boom arms or light stands. Both models offer a color temperature range from 2700K to 12000K and a high light output with 13,050 lux (Alien 150C) and 28,630 lux (Alien 300C) at a distance of one meter and a color temperature of 5600K. The color rendering is very good with an average CRI of 96 and an average TLCI of 97. Nanlite Alien LED Panels The Alien lights offer several operating modes that allow precise adjustment of light color and intensity, including CCT, HSI, RGBW, and Gel modes. Thanks to the various fan modes, the lights are also suitable for noise-sensitive applications. In "Smart" mode, the lights average only 19 dB in noise, and in "Pause" mode, they are even completely silent for a short time (at full power). Modes Nanlite has placed special emphasis on the weather resistance of the lights—the lamp head (i.e., the actual LED panel) is IP55 certified, and an optional rain cover is available for the control unit to allow use even under challenging conditions such as rain, snow, or environments with a lot of dust. The lights are compact and robustly built and offer three dimming methods: 0.1% steps for the entire range, 1% steps, and 0.1% steps below 10% brightness. Technical improvements enable linear dimming even at low brightness levels between 0.0% and 1.0%. The series features seven DMX dimming curves and fifteen DMX modes for controlling various dimming speeds and lighting settings. The Alien series offers multiple control options: via the integrated control panel with a 3.2" display, via the Nanlink App 2.0, the included 2.4 GHz remote control, via cable using DMX/RDM, and wirelessly via LumenRadio CRMX. The Alien series offers flexible power options. The lights can be connected to AC/DC sources or operated on the go with 14.4V-14.8V or 26V-28V batteries. The Alien 150C requires one V-mount battery, while the Alien 300C supports two V-mount batteries with different voltages. Both models allow uninterrupted switching (hot-swapping) between different power sources.
