The new version 21 of Vegas Pro has been released, which includes extended tracking options thanks to a new Mocha integration as well as an improved text-to-speech, and some new effects and transitions are also on board. However, some of the new features are reserved for the subscription versions of the post-production software.

With "adjustment events", a function is introduced that is probably similar to the "adjustment layer" from After Effects - it can be used to adjust all underlying tracks, which can be very helpful when compositing.
Z-Depth
The AI-supported function Z-Depth analyzes the footage and creates a complex depth structure map from the 2D images. This allows foreground and background to be separated and processed individually, for example for fake bokeh or tilt-shift. Elements such as typo or VFX can also be inserted between the layers. Together with the AI Smart Masks, which were already added in 20s updates and can recognize and track individual objects in the videos, complex compositing can be implemented. The new native integration of the planar tracker Mocha - only in VEGAS Pro Suite and Post - further extends these possibilities.
Vegas Mocha
A new Offset and Wrap plug-in is said to allow multiple sliding, mirroring and wrapping effects, which can be used in combination with Adjustment Events for transitions. Speaking of transitions, new GL transition presets include Static Wipe and Directional Scale.
The text-to-speech feature (for subscription customers only) has been reworked again and now runs in the cloud via VEGAS Hub, not locally, as it seems. More languages are to be supported, as well as accents and moods. A new Quick Upload for VEGAS Hub allows files to be saved to file drop collections from any device (subscription customers only).
Vegas Pro 21 is available in different versions (Edit, Pro Suite, Pro Post) and purchase modalities (subscription as well as perpetual license), a overview can be found here.
