Once again there are plenty of rumours circulating on the net about an upcoming Nikon full-frame camera. This time it seems to be a full-frame version of the Nikon Z fc, which was previously designed for APS-C - i.e. a "Nikon Zf".
Here the current Nikon Z fc in black.
In terms of design, the "Nikon Z f" series is based on the robust FM2 from the 80s, which we hold in very high regard - a retro borrowing that makes a lot of sense in our eyes.

The rumours also seem to be quite concrete when it comes to the technical specifications. According to them, a 24.4 MP BSI-CMOS sensor will be used as well as 4K 60p video recording, USB-C PD and a dual card slot (SD+MicroSD) will be available. Also interesting for videographers: The LCD screen is supposed to be a foldable display.
A price of around 1,999 dollars is currently being traded - which, however, seems to us to be quite low.
We are particularly curious about the video formats that will actually be available, whether video-affine exposure tools will be included and whether a full-size HDMI connection will be built in.
According to the rumour mill, we will be wiser at the end of August / beginning of September - more on this soon on slashCAM ...
